To be completely honest, I have struggled with this definition. My heart knew it to be an appropriate moniker but how on earth could I communicate what was on my heart within the required succinct 2-3 line summary?
My first attempt was essentially "to love and bless others" - although it is absolutely true it doesn't quite provide the clarity people seek.
I felt that calling myself a Personal Trainer or Nutritional Coach sufficiently categorized only my credentials as there is something vital missing before the reps and the veggies. What was missing was my purpose. My complete devotion to the joy, success, and long-term whole wellbeing of those I care for.
You see, I don't expect you to hit the gym 5 times a week (but fist bump if you've nailed that habit), and I won't judge you if you eat dessert on occasion (because...yum). What I care most about is whether or not you feel as capable as you absolutely are to enact positive change in your life.
What I care about is helping you discover the tools to do life better. To feel balanced. To feel confident that no matter what life throws at you you can handle it. You can restore order - you can maintain equilibrium.
There is no secret formula, there is no preferred genetic profile. There is only passion, planning, and perseverance.
So there you have it... Equilibrium is the life-changing practice of wellness coaching - not rep-spotting, not food weighing - but a realistic, habits-based practice that compassionately empowers you to make positive change in your life.
And you get to choose what you change. Not me. Not anyone else. You.
Equilibrium is your life in balance.
